Coleus varieties have some of the most stunningly colored foliage in combinations of green, yellow, pink, red, maroon, etc. Coleus also have a wide variety of leaf sizes and overall shapes. This means that no matter what area you are looking to put coleus, you can find one that will be perfect. These plants are great for adding color in home balcony, especially in those dark, drab-looking corners.
Description
It comes in a black pot – 14″ – with plant height 15-25 cm.
Growing Conditions:
Light:
Coleus plants thrive in full sunshine. They will tolerate partial shade, and to some degree, full shade. Leaf drop is common, if the plants do not get enough sunlight, and especially if they are moved from an area of full sun to shade, without an adjustment period.
Water:
Coleus needs moist soil. The soil should not remain wet all the time, but long dry spells will slow the plants’ growth and the leaves will start to turn brown around the edges.
Tip:
Keep Coleus plants trimmed. Remove spent blooms, dead or dying leaves, and cut back any stems that are sick or unsightly. The plant will quickly produce more. Pruning will cause the plant to grow bushier.
